How do I make an appointment?
My course does not appear when I try to make an appointment.

  • Accudemia updates course enrollment information once a day. If your course does not appear, please submit an online request by clicking here or call the Writing Center desk, (805) 730-4463, to schedule your session. During Summer Session 1 and 2, The Writing Center is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

How far ahead can I schedule an appointment?

  • You can schedule an appointment up to two weeks in advance, but no less than 15 minutes ahead of time. 

I am trying to schedule an appointment right away.

  • If you are trying to schedule an appointment for less than 15 minutes in advance, please call the Writing Center desk at (805) 730-4463 when the Writing Center is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. If we’ve had a last minute cancellation, we may be able to get you an appointment less than 15 minutes before the appointment starts.

My SBCC Pipeline login is not working.

  • In the interest of time, please call the Writing Center desk, (805) 730-4463, to schedule your session. The Writing Center is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Please let the Writing Center know about your issue with Pipeline.

  • It is recommended that you also submit a ticket with the Help-Desk.

How do I request an accommodation?

How do I schedule a tutoring session with a particular tutor?

  • Please submit an online request by clicking here or call the Writing Center desk, (805) 730-4463, to schedule your session. The Writing Center is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

How can I cancel or reschedule my upcoming session?

  • You can reschedule your appointment using Accudemia at https://www.sbcc.edu/auth/accudemia. However, if it is less than 15 minutes before your session, please call the Writing Center desk at (805) 730-4463 to reschedule  or cancel your session. 

Is there a limit to how many times I can see a tutor?

  • During the summer session, students can schedule one session per day and up to five  sessions per week. 

  • During the school year, students can schedule one session per day and up to three sessions per week.
