About Dave

I am a proud former SBCC student and deeply honored to be able to teach at SBCC.  Prior to becoming a faculty member, I had a very interesting career in law enforcement that included assignments as a patrol officer, detective, undercover officer, SWAT team member, supervisor, manager, and Chief of the Bureau of Investigation for the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s Office.  I use this experience to help students understand the realities and challenges of criminal justice today.
