There are many different parking lots available throughout the campus each designated to either students, employees, carpoolers or visitors. Signs are posted around campus to help direct drivers to the appropriate lots.  A Campus Map is available to help make sense of all the parking lot information below.

Parking is often available in the Pershing Park lot located just east of East Campus. Parking in Pershing is free and is available to students, staff, and faculty with no permit necessary.

Student parking is available all day in Lots 2-A, 2-B, 2-C, 3, 5-2, 5-3, 5-4, Pershing Park, Leadbetter East, Leadbetter West (Student permits not valid during the summer in Leadbetter Lots).

Additional student parking is available after 12 p.m. in Lots 4-A, 4-B, and 4-C.

After 5:30 p.m. students are also able to park in Lot 1-B and 5-1.

30-minute paid parking is available in the marked “metered” spaces in Lot 1-A. A meter permit must be purchased at the yellow dispensers in the lot and the permit must be displayed on the dash.

3-hour and full-day paid parking is available in Lots 2-C, 3, 5-2, 5-3, and 5-4 and permits may be purchased through the parking permit dispensers located in these lots.

Carpool parking is available in Lot 1-A from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Lots 4-A, 4-B, and 4-C from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.  A free carpool permit must be obtained daily when carpooling in order to park in a carpool lot.

Important Note: Carpool drivers who park in a carpool lot during carpool hours will not be ticketed for leaving their car in the lot throughout the remainder of the day.

Staff/faculty may also park in all available carpool lots when carpooling with other employees and/or students. A daily carpool permit must be obtained from the kiosk when carpooling.

Permits are not required for mopeds and motorcycles. However, they may be parked only in the areas designated for such vehicles on campus.

Staff/faculty parking is available all day in lots 1-B, 2-B, 4-D, 4-E, and 5-1.

Santa Barbara City College has both designated handicapped and designated medical parking spaces in many lots on campus. See the Campus Map for details.

Drivers may park in any handicapped space with valid handicapped placards. Applications to receive a valid handicapped placard are available in the Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) Office (SS-160).

Medical parking is available to students, staff, and faculty with temporary needs. One-day medical passes are available at any campus kiosk. For extended medical parking students, staff, and faculty may obtain passes through the DSPS Office.

All vehicles parked in "Handicapped" zones must display a handicapped placard or handicapped license plate. "Handicapped" zone violators will receive a $350 citation.
