Course Login

Below you will find instructions on how to login to your online course. PLEASE NOTE that you may not have access to your online courses until the first day of the semester. Some faculty may not release their course(s) early for you to work in. If you don't see your course listed, do not panic. Your course may not appear until the first day of class.

Steps for Login

Connect to the Internet and launch your browser. Go to pipeline.sbcc.edu

This will take you to the SBCC Pipeline login screen. Please bookmark the Pipeline Login Page!

DETERMINE YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD

To determine your username and password, choose the "Find my Username" link. Enter in the requested information and your username and password will be retrieved. Enter your username and password into the login screen to gain access to Pipeline v2.

Example

Name: Joe Smith Jones
User Name: jsjones
Password: Randomly Generated Six Digit Password Example: q3er7y

NOTE: If you need assistance determining your username and password, please call (805) 965-0581, ext. 2949 or fill out our ONLINE SUPPORT FORM. For possible solutions to your questions, you can also view our Frequently Asked Questions section. If you are a returning student, your Pipeline password will be the same as you set it to last semester. You can skip Steps 3 and 4.

To get to your classes, click on the Canvas link at the top of the page.  Watch this video for a quick tutorial.

Once in "Class", Click on 'log into Canvas' (under 'Class support' on the right) to access your Canvas home page. (No separate login is required)

Once you are on the Canvas home page:

Click on your HIT/CIM class(es) and study your Home Page(s). Click on the Syllabus and Course Calendar and note that these are very important documents!

 Begin to read and complete the specific class orientation instructions and activities.
